Kosuke and Mana's rocky relationship has a genuine internal logic of its own, though it violates a cardinal genre rule: Opposites may quarrel, but love conquers all.
This quirky rendering of director/writer Ko's first love that lasted from his days in high school in 1994 to his post-college years as a novelist in 2005 is very crotch-oriented.
The montage and camera work were great, music did the trick too. Although realistic, I am still repulsed by the sexual content. The second half of the film kinda slowly fell apart, but above all, it's quite romantic!!
