Visually enchanting and mesmerizing story, Maniac is a unique series that's provoke people's way of thinking with Emma Stone and Jonah Hill in full throttle mode.

I watched the first episode, constantly wondering if this would ever become halfway compelling, and then it ended at a pointless point and I concluded there was no good reason to subject myself to more of this aimless garbage. Don?t be fooled into thinking the series is intellectually dense because it has all these droll in-jokes and smart-ass references. It's shallow, self-indulgent, gratuitously weird, derivative in its futuristic dystopian nonsense, and a complete waste of money and resources. Sure, many will rave about this vacuous drivel as if it's so unique and amazing in its self-congratulatory, quirky bizarro universe. Visually, it's accomplished enough, but that doesn't count for much. It depicts a world and a malaise that is soooo dreary and overdone. Emma Stone is an excellent actress and deserves better material. I dislike Jonah Hill after all the mindless low-brow "comedies" he has done, but at least here he's different--not better, but just what his character is supposed to be, ineffectual and boring. I have no empathy for these characters and no interest in what happens next in this carnival of silly special effects and hip, stylized tedium. This flashy entertainment for the congenitally undiscerning offers nothing but empty calories for the brain, and a noxious insult.

Such a good and wild series. My husband and I just couldn?t stop watching and we finished the whole season in 2 days.
